truncate text long titles with text overflow ellipsis

this one can be useful for fitting text into smaller places without it looking broken. text-overflow: ellipsis; this basically adds the 3 dots where the end of the text used to be...

Also if you are using this method to shorten visible text, its usually a good idea to add a title tag on there so that you can still see the full title if you hover your mouse over it, not sure how this works on mobile devices.

If you are using bootstrap you can just add a tooltip to it, which should work on mobile with data-toggle="tooltip"

CSS

	.short-title {
		width:60px;
		height:25px;
		font-weight: bold;
	}
	.truncate, .ellipsis{
		text-overflow: ellipsis;
		white-space: nowrap;
		overflow: hidden;
	}

HTML

<div class='short-title truncate' data-toggle='tooltip' title='My Kinda Long Title'>My Kinda Long Title</div>
My Kinda Long Title
